This Privacy Policy explains how ActorCue ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our app at actorcue.com. By using ActorCue, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: If you create an account (required for Pro access), we collect your email address via our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other personal details.
Purchase information: Pro purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details — Stripe handles all payment data securely. We receive only confirmation of your purchase and your associated email.
App usage data: We may log general, non-personal usage information (e.g., page load errors) to help us debug issues. This data does not include your scenes, line content, or any identifiable information.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Voice/audio recordings — We never record or transmit your voice. Speech recognition is processed locally by your device's browser (Web Speech API).
- Scene or line content — Your scenes, cue words, and lines are stored in your browser's local storage and are never sent to our servers.
- Uploaded audio files — Audio files you upload are stored in your browser only and are not transmitted to us.
- Location data — We do not track or store your location.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to:
- Send you a magic link for passwordless sign-in
- Associate your Pro purchase with your account
- Respond to support requests you initiate
We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent, and we do not sell or share your email with third parties.
4. Microphone Access
ActorCue requests microphone access to detect your cue words using the browser's Web Speech API. This processing happens entirely on your device — no audio is sent to our servers or any third-party service. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your browser settings.
5. Local Storage
ActorCue stores your scene data (lines, cue words, settings) in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser data will remove your scenes.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Authentication and account management. Your email is stored securely on Supabase's servers. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — Payment processing for Pro purchases. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Netlify — Hosting. Netlify may log basic server-side request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of standard web hosting. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies
We use a minimal session cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
8. Children's Privacy
ActorCue is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account email for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, email us at taylormakegames@gmail.com and we will process your request promptly.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. To exercise these rights, contact us below.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Authentication is handled by Supabase using industry-standard security practices. Scene data stored in your browser's localStorage is subject to your device's security settings.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date above when changes are made. Continued use of ActorCue after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
